MASH Lezing

***For English see below***

Maternal and child mortality remains a huge problem, with 300,000 thousand mothers dying each year after or during pregnancy. This mortality is especially present in low-income countries, such as Tanzania. Questions may arise such as: What is it that makes maternal mortality especially high in these countries? Where do the  differences in maternal care lie in the Netherlands compared to e.g. Tanzania? What can there be done to bring down mortality rates in these countries?

All these questions and more will be discussed at the informative lecture organized by the MASH! A gynaecologist who is currently in West Africa, a gynaecologist who has travelled extensively in Afrika and gained loads of experience and a midwife will answer these questions and share their experiences and knowledge with you!

This lecture takes place hybrid: on April 4th from 18:30 walk-in and the lecture from 19:00-20:30 at the Anthonius Deusinglaan 1, room: 3212.0217 and in an online setting. All proceeds will go to the charity that provides hospitals in Tanzania with medical equipment!

Do you want to learn more about different aspects of maternal and child mortality and what can be done about it? Do you want your questions answered? Then come to this online lecture of the MASH on Monday, April 4 and support our charity! You can register now at www.panacea.nl!
